Authentic Lanka Exports (Pvt) Ltd (ALE) is a diversified Sri Lankan enterprise committed to sustainable agriculture, environmental stewardship, and community empowerment. With its roots in event management, ALE pivoted during the COVID-19 lockdown to agriculture, launching its first pilot project in Andarawewa, Sooriyawewa in the Hambantota District. Today, ALE operates across multiple sectors, including tourism, communications, digital marketing, retail, and agriculture.
Guided by a strong value system promoting rural development and female entrepreneurship, ALE has created inclusive, community-driven employment opportunities in the deep south of Sri Lanka. The company currently spearheads several impactful projects including high-density Moringa cultivation, a state-of-the-art greenhouse for Scotch Bonnet peppers, and Sri Lanka’s first fully women-led coconut peat/coir production facility. These initiatives are designed not only for local value creation but also to meet global market demands for organic, sustainable products.
ALE also emphasizes agri-tourism as a tool for sustainable regional development and runs a premium dehydration facility for fruits, vegetables, and herbs, adhering to international food safety standards. In partnership with the European Chamber of Commerce and Sri Lanka’s Export Development Board, ALE is building a robust, export-ready supply chain that empowers communities and champions ethical, climate-resilient agricultural practices.
